Virtual Class

There are so many questions about pregnancy, birth and postpartum. What is natural childbirth? Should I take an epidural? What is delayed cord clamping? What positions are best for labor? Should I hire a doula? What is vitamin K? Should I circumcise my baby?

All these questions and more will be addressed in this three-part evidence-based class. Pregnancy and birth is demanding on your body and mind, this class will help build your confidence and will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need during pregnancy and birth. With loads of information from so many sources, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. We'll help you evaluate these resources to make safe and healthy choices that are best for you and your baby.

Our belief is that birth is a natural occurrence, and our goal is to increase your confidence in your ability to birth in the way you choose to. Parents will learn coping strategies for labor (natural and medicated), movement and positioning, best strategies to prepare your body to birth, how your partner can support you and postpartum readiness.

Breastfeeding Class

Our classes are designed to provide you with the confidence you need to breastfeed your child. You will come away from this class feeling ready to breastfeed your child. If you are a first-time parent, breastfeeding for the first time or a partner to breastfeeding mother this class is for you.

This class is 2 hours and is offered twice per month.

Lactation for Birth Pros

Virtual Class

This lactation class is for the birth worker who is seeking to enhance the skills they have or seeking to gain evidence- based knowledge to support their clients.

WE WILL COVER:

  • In-depth look at the lactating & infant oral anatomy
  • Common feeding issues
  • Maternal & infant complications
  • How to best support clients.

This class meet the requirements for certification as a birth or postpartum doula. You will spend 3.5 hours in the course. This course is offered once monthly.
